Customer Reviews about Cocoa City Utilities:
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆They came out to ensure potable water was not being crossed with non potable. They left a note on our door. When we returned home and turned on the water the pressure was not working properly. After 36 hours and calling multiple times they finally sent someone out only to tell my wife everything is fine it must be something inside the house. Suspect. They do not have integrity.By Francis Reilly, August 26, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Would give half-star if possible. Went on Monday morning at 8 am (when they opened) and was able to quickly and pleasantly set up an account. 2 hours later, I received an email stating they had forgotten to take my 2 forms of identification, so they needed me to either email or fax them to the office. Because this isn't 2005 and nobody except the local library owns a fax machine, I opted to drive in and give it to them personally. Irked, but overall satisfied. This is where it gets crazy. They stated between 1000 and 1800 same day, the water would be turned on. 1800 comes, 1800 goes. No water. Can't call the office, closes at 1700. Call early this morning (still no water) and was told the service was marked as activated. After the customer service representative went to dispatch, I got a call after about 30 minutes stating A WORK ORDER WAS NEVER CREATED. And why? Because I went in too early. Now, I don't know about what jobs any of you may have, but I know at least when I come on shift, I do what responsibilities I am demanded to do. I don't get a 2 hour long coffee break at the beginning of the shift where it doesn't matter if something gets done or not. As a government agency, this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. To conclude: dig a well. Tap a river. Do whatever you have to to not do business through Cocoa City water. They will only disappoint you.By Brandon Gainey, July 15, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Worst run department I've seen, water was cut to Merritt Island on Friday night before Irma with no information on Monday they told Melbourne to boil water, on Tuesday they put on website the water had been cut to Merritt Island and the barrier islands to "facilitate" trouble shooting today is been FIVE days with no water in Merritt Island and no explanation or phone answers.By Eduardo C, March 20, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Whether you pay online or go to their office to pay with a debit card, you are charged a "convenience fee." To avoid it, you have to pay with cash or check. When every other business in the world is trying to help people (and themselves) avoid paper and provide service, the City of Cocoa Utilities are only interested in taking people's money for their "convenience fee."By a1912a, February 12, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Water department appears to be an administration behind the times. No place online or by phone to establish service. Once put through an extended hold, the link to PDF file application online is broken. Seems like this department policy is established to plump up some kind of metric to keep a constant flow of people into city hall. Instead of convience and customer service, this establishment focuses on bureaucracy, fake fees, and wasting resources. There is no incentive here to treat you as a customer and they demonstrate that they know it. I just moved to Florida and this is the worst experience I have had so far since moving here.By Robert B, January 04, 2017
